Clucking Hens Experience?

I’ve kept chickens as a small child into my teens at home on my parents Shropshire farm
(along with goats, sheep and turkeys)

I loved how friendly my garden chickens were and with great little personalities.
The joy of collecting warm eggs and making tasty food from them is a
wonderful experience which adults and children alike will enjoy.

Why now?

Now a mother, I wanted ensure my children have nutritious food to eat and understand
where their food comes from. I established my vegetable patch teaching my children about
 sowing and growing food, the next natural step was to get chickens in my garden to produce eggs.

I found the whole experience very difficult to source all the products
and hens at a reasonable price and locally.

My friends all enjoy bringing the kids round to see the hens and collecting the eggs.
Many of them would love to have hens in their own gardens and have found it
very hard to get all the components together.

Where?

Based in the Yorkshire Dales - Nidderdale my flock of friendly back garden chickens has
increased in size from my 3 urban hens,
but I still love their characters and the thrill of collecting eggs daily.

I want to bring a bit of the good life to the urban gardens of north Leeds,
Harrogate and the Wharf Valley, enabling everyone to have garden chickens,
henhouses and the thrill of fresh eggs.

Who is it for?

Our Clucking Hens Starter Package is ideal for families who want to have a
few friendly pets (similar to rabbits) but with a special reward….. delicious eggs.

If you have a spare garden space (10ft square) this is ideal for you.
Our Hen house sizes start from only 5ft x 3ft including a run as the house is raised off the ground.

Sourcing local produce couldn't be easier than keeping chickens in your garden.
